Thomas, thanks for the update about Markus Baseler (DL6YYM). I only had a handful of email exchanges with him, but they left me feeling like I had talked with a friend.
I received my BaMaKeY TP-II last month. I corresponded with Markus over email about a customs delay. He responded quickly and explained the ongoing issues with US Customs delay with DHL parcels inbound from Germany-- which I had also confirmed with USPS after sweet talking the USPS agent into admitting that this was recent and unusual behavior. Markus reached again to inquire about the status at my end. I didn't expect that. I don't have a lot of experience with such personal customer service. I'll never forget it. He added a personal note about not feeling well and a sore knee after knee surgery. I kept him in the loop and emailed him when it arrived and about how I immediately loved the action of the key. He replied with a gracious thank you es vy de DL6YVM. So I felt like I had a correspondence with him instead of just shipping updates. I wish I had a chance to tell him that I'll not forget his graceful manner, patience and personal touch with a trivial issue about delayed shipping.
