At the risk of flogging the horse to death, I have 3 17' whips sourced at different times from AliExpress, all 1.5mm. I think M10/1.5 is actualy the most common combination, various random objects I have with M10 threads all conform to that.

I think this becomes a highly POTA-able design if we use a vertical fibreglass pole to support an end-fed driven element and hang an angled reflector wire off the pole and pull it to shape with some thin cord. Beam steering would be fairly straightforward, if needed.
