Mountain Top'er MTR-2B

I have just been fortunate enough to pick-up n MTR-2B. It was a spur of the moment purchase. What with not being familiar with the model I was wondering if anyone had any info on the history of these two band radios. I did find out a little through an internet search but there seems to be little info around.
Any info would be much appreciated.
